　大腿神経とは

【走行詳細解説】

　・第2腰神経～第4腰神経から起こる。

　・腸骨筋と大腰筋に挟まれながら下行する。

　・腸骨筋と大腰筋の間から出現する。

　・腸骨筋と大腰筋の間の溝を下行する。

　・鼡径靭帯の下の筋裂孔を通過し大腿に出る。

　・腸恥窩に出て、鼡径靭帯から約3～4㎝下がったところで終枝に分岐する。

　以下は大腿神経の枝を簡単に表した図となる。

　「日本人体解剖学 (上巻) 」では大腿神経の枝を以下のようにしている。それぞれの枝の詳しい解説に関しては、それぞれの枝の解説を参照のこと。　　

　以下は「日本人体解剖学 (上巻) 」の解説文となる。

「運動性および知覚性。腰神経叢の中で最大である。第2～第4腰神経から起こり、大腰筋と腸骨筋との間をくだりこれに筋枝を与えて、鼡径靭帯の下の筋裂孔を通り、大腿動脈の外側に沿って大腿前面で腸恥窩にでる。大腿神経は、鼡径靭帯から約3～4㎝下方で、終枝に分かれる。」

　また、「船戸和弥のホームページ」は以下のように解説している。

「【概要/分布】大腿神経（L2,L3,L4）は、腰神経叢から出る最大の枝で、腸骨筋と大腿前面の筋群を支配し、股関節や膝関節および周囲の血管へ枝を送り、また下肢の前内側面に皮枝を出す。

【走行】大腿神経は、第２～４腰神経前枝の背側部から起こり（図10）、大腰筋を下外方へ貫通し、ついで大腰筋と腸骨筋間の溝を走行しながらこれらの筋に支配枝を出す。大腿神経は、鼡径靱帯の後方を通り、大腿部に入る。大腿三角では大腿動脈鞘の外側に位置し、ここで筋枝と皮枝に分かれる。」

　そして「 Wikipedia 」では以下のように解説している。

「The femoral nerve is a nerve in the thigh that supplies skin on the upper thigh and inner leg, and the muscles that extend the knee.

　Femoral nerve is the major nerve supplying the anterior compartment of the thigh. It is the largest branch of the lumbar plexus, and arises from the dorsal divisions of the ventral rami of the second, third, and fourth lumbar nerves (L2, L3, and L4).[1]
The nerve enters the femoral triangle by passing beneath the inguinal ligament, just lateral to the femoral artery. In the thigh, the nerve lies in a groove between iliacus muscle and psoas majormuscles, outside the femoral sheath, and lateral to the femoral artery. After a short course of about 4 cm in the thigh, the nerve is divided into anterior and posterior divisions, separated by lateral femoral circumflex artery. The branches are shown below:[1]」
