前肋間枝とは
・ 肋間隙に分布する動脈は、このほかに 肋間動脈 (posterior intercostal arteries) がある。

「 内胸動脈の前肋間枝は胸壁の肋間隙の前部に分布する動脈で、１－６は内胸動脈の枝。７－１１は筋横隔動脈の枝である。」
・ 1枝は肋骨上縁を走り、もう1枝は肋骨の下縁に沿って内・外肋間筋の間を後方に走って肋間動脈と吻合をする。
