「 翼突下顎縫線は翼突鈎と下顎の間の腱。頬筋と咽頭収縮筋とを分けている。」

「 蝶形骨の翼突鉤と下顎骨の頬筋稜後端を結ぶ靭帯様の結合組織。前方の頬筋と後方の上咽頭収縮筋の境界に相当するが必ずしも明瞭には観察されない。
